If you're passionate about tackling difficult problems with direct and thoughtful communication and team first mentality, we may be the right place for you.About The RoleAs a Staff Game Engineer, you will play an important role in developing a real-time multiplayer game, designing and building gameplay features and reusable systems for games that will last for years, collaborating and exchanging knowledge with multiple teams of talented and multidisciplinary developers. You will assist in scope definition, architecture, planning, and work estimation; create and evaluate technical documents and processes to ensure the highest quality product.What You’ll AchieveDrive architectural and design decisions and produce Tech Design Documents.Write and maintain long-lasting, high-quality code throughout the development of the game.Instrument, profile, and analyze game code to identify and fix complex bugs and performance issuesPlan and estimate tasks as needed and deliver on the timeline you set.Operate as an effective and supportive member of a cross-discipline game development team.Conduct code reviews and ensure adherence to established coding standards and best practices.Share best practices with engineers within your team and the organization.What You’ll NeedSoftware engineering experience in the games industryExperience developing mobile games with Unity3DStrong proficiency in C#, Object-Oriented Programming (OOP) and design patterns, with a focus on SOLID principles.Strict adherence to developing with unit and integration testing in mindExtensive experience with Unity's core systems, including but not limited to, the rendering pipeline (URP/HDRP), physics, animation, UI, and networking.Strong understanding of performance optimization techniques for mobile and/or other platforms.High-energy, hands-on individual with attention to detail and comfortable in an agile environment.Must be proactive, self-directed, and organized.Strong understanding of game mechanics and design principlesStrong communication skills, both verbal and written.Why join usThere are many reasons to join us, but here are a few:We strongly believe we are changing how games studios operate and at the core of what we do is making great games that create a connected communityWe're not just about making Games Where You Belong.
